To individuals with mental and developmental disabilities who are living alone or are about to live alone, we are always here for you. We help you live independently and also help you get ready for it. Through phone or in-person meetings, we are here to provide you guidance and assistance with your needs. Among the things that we can help you with are:
- Verbal and nonverbal communication skills
- Mobility enhancement such as handling different objects, reaching, and holding
- Education and training in using assistive devices and technology such as crutches, artificial limbs, hearing aids, alert systems, etc.
You do not have to rely on nonstop care and assistance around you. You can learn functions and abilities on your own and only require personal help only a few times.
